THE KEY TO KNOWING JESUS

 

Knowing Jesus means Change, Process, Participation, Being Always available, Community, Love as the measure!

 

One word for this is discipleship. Another word may be Apprentices - and we learn from the Master, Jesus - who triumphed in all of life.

 

As we explored being Christian Apprentices one Sunday morning, these are some of the ideas that the congregation suggested are part of “Change, Process, Participation, Being Always available, Community, and Love as the Measure!

 

What do these images say to you about following Jesus, about Knowing Jesus and Making Him Known...

 

1.

 

God’s miracle of new life, small, fresh start, they change us, constantly growing, innocence, look to other, love them whatever, welcoming them in, future, learn from the very beginning

 

2.

 

Has to be opened (our faith out of the bottle), harvested and changed, has to be matured, celebration, takes years, food & drink – sustenance, hope for everyone – the best is yet to come, process

 

3.

 

Persevere – keep at it, they have best interests at heart, instruction, programme, discipline, motivation, can be painful, embarrassing, worth it in the end, obedience – have to do as trainer tells you.

 

4.

 

Any time, any place, anywhere, any season of life, any circumstances, journey of life

 

5.

 

Humility, service, child birth, Jesus can clean up the mess you make of your life, receiving love, giving love.

 

6.

Capacity to love, giving time, love, money, Christ’s total love, God’s love can’t go down, love builds up, if we are growing in love we are becoming more like Jesus, loving your enemy, TLC.
