If you attend regularly at Christ Church, you are warmly encouraged to join the Electoral Roll. In this way you can commit yourself to Christ Church and take a full part in the decision making.
Those who are members for more than 6 months may stand for the Church Council (the "Parochial Church Council" or "PCC").
The PCC is the elected body of church members who meet six times a year in the capacity of Trustees. It works together with the Vicar to take forward our mission in all its forms and decides upon our policies and priorities for the year. It discusses many aspects of the life of the church as it seeks to plan for the future, and also has certain legal responsibilities. Elections take place at our Annual Meeting.
In addition, those who live outside the Parish but are on the Electoral Roll enjoy all the rights and privileges that go with being resident in the parish (for example, baptisms and weddings). However, if you live outside the Parish and want to come onto the Electoral Roll, you have to have been worshipping with us for a minimum period of 6 months.
