Welcome to the Web Site of the Christ Church family. We are a Christian church, part of the Southend Deanery of the Church of England in the Bradwell Area of the Diocese of Chelmsford.
We are involved in the NewWine Network through their summer conferences and other events.
Do browse around and find out more about us. Our mission statement (see beloW) will tell you more about what we believe. In all we do we seek to be led by the conviction that Jesus Christ, God's Son, lived on earth, died on the cross for humankind, and rose from the dead on the first Easter Day. Through the Holy Spirit, poured out through the resurrection, Christ makes his presence known in the life of Christians, making them more like the Father and empowering them for service.

Mother's Union prayer group, monthly on Tuesdays
Singles Lunch Group - in the Centre on occasional Sundays for those normally on their own. Enquire for the next date or to book a meal.
10 am Holy Communion 1st, 3rd, (5th), Family Service 2nd, Morning Worship 4th
There is a Junior Church and Creche at our 10 am services (except Family Services). Children come into the service first.
6 pm Holy Communion 2nd and 4th, Evening Prayer 1st, 3rd (5th).
Healing Services: Prayer Ministry (for healing and other needs) is available after all our 10 am services. In addition Anointing with Oil with the Laying on of Hands for Healing is offered once a month at 10 am and 6 pm. There is also the opportunity for the laying on of hands and anointing at our Wednesday Communion on the first Wednesday of the month
10am Wednesday Holy Communion
On the first Wednesday of the month we give thanks for those named in the Book of Remembrance for that month and offer prayer for healing

If you regularly attender at Christ Church, you are warmly encouraged to come on the Electoral Roll.
This is the closest thing we have to church membership. Members are able to take a full part in the decision making of Christ Church; and if they have been members for more than 6 months stand for the Church Council (the "Parochial Church Council" or "PCC").
In addition, those who live outside the Parish but are on the Electoral Roll enjoy all the rights and privileges that go with being resident in the parish (for example, baptisms and weddings). However, if you live outside the Parish and want to come onto the Electoral Roll, you have to have been worshipping with us for a minimum period of 6 months.

Young at Heart
- 2nd Sunday of each month following our 6pm service, in the Centre Lounge. Coffee
at 7pm with programme stating at 7.30pm. Varied programme and a chance to enjoy the
company of others of perhaps more mature years but still 'Young At Heart' "
